Valentines Regatta Information

 

We are will be running a Bermuda/pursuit regatta on Saturday with the start for the slowest boat in each fleet to start at noon (spin A and B will be grouped together).  The intent of this regatta is to be a unique, fun, and engaging regatta for all sailors on the bay.  We hope that those that are intimidated by the starting sequence or the rules will participate in the race.  In addition,  as most of us are experienced sailors on this email, we should encourage our fellow non- racers to participate in the FUN regatta.   

 

In order to run an effective Bermuda regatta and also bolster future fun regattas, we are trying to make this as low key for sailors and race management alike.  WIth that being said, there will not be a skippers meeting and we will attempt to do the awards on the water following the race.  In addition, the entry fee is a mere $25.00 so again, there is no reason not to participate.  We do ask that you PLEASE register early so that the start times for all competitors can be seen on regatta network.  If you register late, you will need to calculate your own start time!  

 

We are intending to run a steeplechase race with the start off of PYC #2  (A)  and the finish off of 142 (M) off the beach.  Again, weather permitting etc, we will attempt to do awards on the water.
