2021 Return to Sailing Rally The Return to Sailing Rally will be in the vein of the three-bridge fiasco where competitors can choose the order in which they will round each of the designated course marks. However, this event also has a staggered start component to it where competitors will be allowed to choose their start time window. Every boat must start no earlier than 10:00am on Saturday, April 17 and finish no later than 4:00pm on Sunday, April 18. They can choose to start on either day as long as they are finished by 4:00pm on Sunday. The order in which competitors are permitted to choose their start time will be decided via a live random drawing online on the Friday preceding the race at 9:00am. Each competitor will submit their top three start time options and a schedule of starts will be put on the online notice board as soon as competitors declare their start time window. Each boat must start on or after their selected start time, BUT NO LATER THAN TWO MINTUES AFTER THEIR SELECTED START TIME. There will be no race committee for this event and each boat will be required to record their start time, mark rounding times, finish time and take a picture of each mark as they pass it. This will be delivered via text or email to the SBYC Race Director for the event to be scored. A live awards banquet will be hosted online and awards will be available for pickup.
