Founded in 1996 the MLK Regatta at the STYC is wonderful kickoff to the competitive winter and spring racing schedule. Sailors have had the opportunity to train consistently and MLK offers the opportunity to race against island neighbors . Racing in Cowpet Bay, Great Bay, and Jersey Bay allows sailors the opportunity to dust off their skills after the summer and for younger sailors to compete in racing activities close to the club in the waters where they train.
