The 2023 Commodore's regatta race is scheduled for June 24th starting at 12:00pm. The regatta was conceived by T. Arnold Smith in 1978 in honor of past Commodores whose hard work and dedication helped build the Club. Unfortunately, as a result of the severe storms over the winter months, Stillwater Yacht Club (Pebble Beach) pier is unavailable to host this year. After discussing with the Commodore, we agreed on a one-day long distance PHRF TOT race twice around the MY PWC buoys (Start at MY1, MY2 (Mile), MY3, MY4, MY1, MY2, MY3, MY4 all to starboard and finish at X) with a BBQ afterwards at the club and invite the cruisers to join the racers. And permit Shields to use GPS so they can find MY3 and MY4. Dinner and drinks will be provided after racing on Saturday at MPYC. The regatta is open to boats owned by MPYC members. Entries shall be made online, using Regatta Network if not already registered for the Specialty Races. For boats not signed up for Specialty Races, a fee of $35 for Saturday's race will apply.
