Sail in one of Southern California's most fun and exciting races of the year!The 2024 Howland's Layover Race takes place the weekend of October 12 and 13. On Saturday we race from just inside Angel's Gate to Howland's Landing on Catalina Island. Pick up a mooring at Howland's and head to the LAYC shore facility for dinner and drinks. Meet and talk with all of the racers. We even provide shuttle service from your boat to the shore.
On Saturday night, LAYC provides hot dogs, hamburgers, sides, beer, rum, water, and softdrinks. You are also welcome to bring your own favorite BBQ foods to grill on the big LAYC BBQ at Howland's.
On Sunday morning we race back from Howland's Landing to inside Angel's Gate. Following the race, we'll present the trophies at LAYC.
