The Forefathers Races are held annually in honor of past CIYC members who were avid racers. Their offspring often participate! The Bob Cooke Memorial Race is a Double-Handed race, ie, one skipper and one crew. The Neil Underwood Memorial Race is for boats with 3 or more persons aboard. Class options in both races include spinnaker, non-spinnaker, and J24. The RC may combine classes with fewer than 3 entries as well as assign temporary ratings for boats without a current PHRF rating. However, boats without a current PHRF certificate are not eligible for individual or perpetual trophy awards.
