About Event

A distance race of 10 – 30NM starting at Region 3 Mark 1 "Hackett's can",around CBYRA Regions 2 & 3 marks depending on the prevailing weather conditions, and finishing about halfway between Baltimore light and the mouth of the Magothy River.

The GIYS Commodore will host a Dock Party (food, keg, open bar) at 1730 on Saturday 19 May 2012 at the GIYS Boathouse for competitors in the GIYS – SCC Spring Regatta and the MRSA Spring Classic and guests.  Entry Fee in the GIYS-SCC Regatta covers party tickets for competing Skipper and three crew members.  Others are $25 per person.  Free overnight dockage or mooring and tender service for yachts competing in the GIYS-SCC Regatta.

    The following Addendum to the NOR/GSI Amendment has been posted on the Event Notice Board.

     Start: There will be four starts. The intended order of the starts is as follows. Monitor VHF 72 for announcements of starts and courses.

    1. PHRF Spinnaker Classes: A1, A2, B, C and SB.

     

     

    Course: A schematic diagram showing the Region 2 and Region 3 Marks we will be using is attached.

     

    Social: Extra Party tickets can be bought at the party. Free mooring and tender service is available to yachts competing in the SCC/GIYS Spring Regatta. 

     

    Region 2 Spring Classic (Sanction 201 and 202). On line entry in the MRSA Region 2 Spring Classic on Sunday 20 May is available until 2400 hours on Thursday 17 May.
