This, the 29th Oar Race Regatta, is a feeder race from New Bern to Oriental for the Michelob Ultra Cup race which is scheduled on Sunday Sept 2. The overall winner will win the Oar Race Trophy. The first warning signal will be scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday . Participation in the Michelob Ultra Cup is not required. The Oar Race commemorates the evacuation of Dunkirk and the perpetual award is an oar used during that historic event. The overall winner will have their name added to the perpetual trophy and receive a miniature replica. Awards will also be given three deep in each class.
