    The Miller Series Perpetual Trophy was won by Murray Leigh. The 80th Miller Series was sailed at Gibson Island on July 19th and 20th in light to moderate winds and temperatures in the 80's. Chesapeake Bay Fleet Captain Leigh and his crew Tommy Price sailed hull number 7996 Neva Jo to victory with a 7 point total for the five race series: 1 - 4 - 1 - [8] - 1.  They finished three points ahead of second place finisher Tom Price and his daughter Saidee Price: [5} - 2 - 4- 1 - 3.  The first five finishers in the two day regatta were separated by less than ten points. The traditional Saturday night party was held on Lone Star in the Gibson Island Harbor. ...

    July 20, 2014 The Grand Master Award for the 80th Miller Series was presented to John Vanderhoff. Vanderhoff and his crew Adam Donezal finished third overall [ 10 - 3- 3 - 2 - 2 ] in the five race series sailed at Gibson Island on July 19th and 20th as a result of a tie breaker with second place finisher [ 5 - 2 - 4 - 1 - 3 ]Tom Price and his crew Saidee Price. ...

    A Special Award was presented to Trout skipper Tom Gahs and his crew Jerry Gessaman who sailed hull number 178 in the old boat division and won their class.  Trout is one of the original boats in the Chesapeake Bay Star Fleet.  Chesapeake Bay Fleet Secretary Tom Price and Fleet Captain Murray Leigh hope owners of other "woodies" will join Trout in the Miller Series in future years.
