Racers, First, the bad news. The Rio Vista Bridge broke down last night and the Coast Guard has sent word that there will be no raisings on Saturday. We cannot hold the regatta because the launch site is south of the bridge. We regret this last-minute change of plans and apologize for any inconveniences caused you. Now, the better news. We invite you to join us on Saturday, August 11, at Lake Washington Sailing Club in West Sacramento for a fun sailing afternoon, dinner and party. By 2 p.m., we will have marks set for several courses, including a channel mark far enough down channel to allow a long run and gybe back. The dinner, party and band will begin at 6 p.m. and go until after 8:00 p.m. Costs? As registered racers, we will refund all your fees. The fun sailing afternoon, dinner and party are on us!
