Marina Entry and Parking for Visiting Boats

Greetings PRSA Spring Regatta Sailors!
Visiting competitors bringing a boat to Washington Sailing Marina (WSM) should enter gate code #526 to access the dry sail area. You will then need to obtain a visitor pass from the check-in table (near the picnic tables in the “grove” area) to display in your car. The visitor gate code is to be used *only* 1 time each day for 1 vehicle towing the visiting boat. Please do not enter/exit multiple times or share the gate code (PRSA is charged for each use of the code). Any additional vehicles must to park in the main parking lot outside of the dry sail area.
If you are visiting PRSA for the Spring Regatta please arrive in enough time to pick up your parking pass prior to the skipper’s meeting. Visitors should consult the WSM map (posted to the Regatta Documents online area and on the regatta Notice Board) for information on where visiting boats and cars should be parked. The area for car parking is circled in black. Visiting boats may be parked in the following slips on K-Row: 5,7,10,13,16,18,21,22,24,26
Competitors registering after 6:00 pm on Friday, May 24, will need to pay the entry fee at the gate ($10, cash only) and leave the receipt on your dashboard. Late or on-site registrants for the upper course should check-in with Lisa-Marie Lane (703-209-3653) at the check-in table in the grove or at her dry sail slip (D10) on Saturday morning.

Sailing Instructions Posted

The sailing instructions have been posted to the regatta website. Please make sure to read through the sailing instructions prior the skipper's meeting (1000 on Saturday). If you would like a hard copy of the sailing instructions please print one for your self in advance. In keeping with PRSA's commitment to sustainability we will only have a limited number of hard copies available at the regatta. |
Lower Course Canceled / Upper Course Option

Unfortunately PRSA will not be able to offer lower course racing at the PRSA Spring Regatta this year. We are happy to provide a shorter course on the upper race course near Hains Point organized by our primary Race Committee for Penguins and Lasers. This would be the same start/finish line as the upper course boats, but a windward mark set shorter than the full course length for the other boats. We would also have a later first race time for your classes to allow time to reach the course (or you could put in at Gravelly Point to shorten the sailing distance to the course). Alternately, we will refund your registration fees if you choose not to sail.
We apologize for the inconvenience. Skippers registered for the lower course should let us know at your earliest convenience whether you would like to join us on the upper course or whether you'd like a refund.
