Practice Thursday April 4th Posted on Mar 13, 2019 01:11 EST |
Warning to those who want to practice on Thursday, April 4th!
If you intend to practice on Thursday, April 4th, we strongly recommend you measure on as early as possible and get out practicing in the ocean (south of the jetty) with the favorable tide. Always use the East span of the 17th Street Bridge. Do not try to go out sailing and through the bridge after 3:40 PM, Thursday, because that is when the tide will start coming back in. Without a good paddle and a strong stroke, you'll have a hard time getting through. Conversely, once you are out on Thursday, don't plan on coming back in until after 3:40 PM.
For more info on tides, download TideApp. It's free. Look for the tides at Port Everglades 17th Street Bridge.
Lauderdale Yacht Club looks forward to hosting you.
