When RC displays the code flag “I” boats are prohibited from crossing the starting line in the wrong direction within one minute of the starting signal. Furthermore if called OCS you must clear yourself by sailing around one end of the line or the other. This means no “dipping” or “weaving the line” within one minute of the start.
