1. Big D was disadvantaged by the movement of the committee boat and was not at the original starting line at the time the RC registered its start. 2. Being about 1.5 boatlengths below the starting pin and close hauled Big D would need approximately 75' in a straight line to reach the original start line 3. at a boat speed of 3kn this distance would be covered in about 15 seconds and would then have to tack to start on starboard, estimated to take 10 seconds.		 Big D is due an improvement to her actual finish time by 47 sec. + 15 sec. +10 sec = 72 seconds
