Jax Sailfest : The Rudder Club of Jacksonville
 

About Event

The second Jax SailFest is set for April 8-9. The Rudder Club of Jacksonville will host a meet-and-greet April 8. The regatta on April 9 will take place just north of the Buckman Bridge. There will be three race courses: for PFRF boats, Hobies and cruisers. At least one collegiate sailor will be on board each vessel.   

Jax SailFest is the brainchild of JU graduate Telmo Basterra, who wanted an event that would connect community sailors with JU sailors looking for the first jobs. The goal is keep more JU sailors in Jacksonville after graduation, something that simultaneously builds careers and energizes the JAX sailing scene.

The feedback from the first Jax SailFest was so positive that we’re doing it again – this time with the goal of raising money for JU Sailing.
