Due to supply chain issues, the PNW Offshore committee has decided on the following rule change. Competitors with AIS transponders equipped shall use such equipment while racing.  Competitors who do not currently have an AIS transponder equipped should endeavor to equip one prior to the event.  No exception to this requirement will be made for the event in 2024.

Delete NoR Addendum A1 “3.9 AIS” and NoR Addendum A2 “3.9 AIS”.

    3.9 AIS

An acceptable alternative is a dedicated AIS antenna that is a minimum of 0.9 meters long, mounted with its base at least 3 meters above the water, and fed with coax that has a maximum 40% power loss.
