The Houston Yacht Club is the Organizing Authority (OA) for The Quantum Offshore Regatta and the positioning event known as The Reach Down the Beach aimed at getting boats to the Freeport starting area. The Quantum Offshore Regatta is one of the three events comprising the Texas Offshore Racing Circuit (TORC) and counts for points toward the Texas Navy Cup (spinnaker) and S Rhoads Fisher Cup (non-spinnaker).
