This PHRF handicapped 44 nm long-distance race, co-organized by the Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club, Elkhorn Yacht Club and Santa Cruz Yacht Club, is designed to encourage sailors to sail around the beautiful Monterey Bay on the same course, but starting at three different “Mile” buoys. Competitors will start in the vicinity of the Mile Buoys outside the harbors of Monterey, Moss landing and Santa Cruz, round the other Mile buoys and finishing back and the Mile Buoys where they started. Boats can decide whether to sail the course clockwise or anticlockwise provided they round all three Mile buoys on the shore side of each Mile buoy. Competitors must comply with the MBYRA Safety Equipment Requirements
