Welcome to the International Optimist Regatta Presented by Glacial Energy.  The St. Thomas Yacht Club and the Virgin Island Sailing Association cordially invite you to attend the 2013 International Optimist Regatta.

    Good Day Opti sailors and families! The 21st St. Thomas International Opti Regatta and Sea Star Clinic is just around the corner. We are excited that you are going to join us! With over 108 registered sailors we are looking forward to a great event. We hope that you will join us on Thursday, June 20th at 5:30 for our parade of nations and welcome party. Don't forget to pack your flag and dress to represent your nation! Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday the sailors registered in the clinic will have a light breakfast at the club and will sail in for a hot lunch each day. During team racing on Thursday, a light breakfast and a make your own sandwich bar will be available at the club for sailors registered in the Sea Star Line Team Race. On Thursday evening all sailors and their families are invited to join us for a pasta dinner. Sailors can plan on the same light breakfast during the regatta. Bag lunches for the sailors will be available Friday and Saturday morning for pick up by team leaders. Dinner will be at the club for the registered sailors, family and friends are welcome to order meals from the Club Galley as well. Lunches for coaches can be ordered. Please let us know if you are interested in placing an order. On Sunday, sailors will be served brunch back on shore at the conclusion of the days racing. Please be sure to pack a snack for your sailor. The International Opti Regatta works hard to stay "green." Sailors are given a water bottle at the start of the event and 5 gallon jugs are available to refill on land. Please encourage your sailor to keep track of their bottle and to refill each day. Coaches are encouraged to refill sailors' water bottles using gallon jugs. We are in the final count down and look forward to welcoming you to the VI! ...
