Every ten minutes someone dies from these cancers. - Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20. - An estimated 1.012.533 people in the US are living with, or are in remission from, leukemia, Hodgkin lymphoma, NHL, or myeloma - The five-year relative survival rate for patients with Hodgkin lym-phoma has more than doubled from 40% between 1960 and 1963, to almost 86.3% between 2001 and 2007. The five-year survival rate for NHL patients rose from 31% between 1960 and 1963; to just over 69.5% between 2001and 2007.
