To facilitate communication with the clubs who will be competing in this year's Lipton Cub Regatta, RYC would like to be able to connect with representatives of the participating clubs for the purposes described below. The goal is to make the experience of this regatta for all concerned, competitors and spectators alike, the best that it can be. To assist us in doing this, we would like each participating club to identify to RYC the key people who will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Complete Club Registration, and boat usage paperwork and pay the applicable fees for each. Coordinate registration of Skippers and crew members, including ensuring that each sign the required waiver. This will most likely be the person who actually completes the Club Registration, but it could also be someone delegated by that person.
- Coordinate the club’s sailors, including communicating the regatta requirements and schedules to their team, providing RYC with their team rosters by the appropriate time, and acting as the liaison between the team and RYC for questions or issues not covered by the race documents.
- Communicate with their club members regarding the event and the social events they are invited to join. Work with RYC to assist members who would like to watch the racing on the water either from their own club’s boats or on available spaces on other boats. Organize any club members who want to participate in the cornhole toss event on Saturday afternoon or the Liar’s Dice tournament Saturday evening.
Once these people have been selected, we ask that their names and contact information (email, cell phone, etc.) be provided to us at LiptonCup25@richmondyc.org.
Thanks!

Welcome to the Event News Board for the 2025 San Francisco Bay Lipton Cup Regatta
The Richmond Yacht Club is honored and proud to host this event, and we are hoping for 10 to 12 clubs to enter this year’s competition.
We would like each participating club to identify to the host club the persons who will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Complete Club Registration, and boat usage paperwork and pay the applicable fees for each. Coordinate registration of Skippers and crew members, including ensuring that each sign the required waiver.
- Coordinate the club’s sailors, including communicating the regatta requirements and schedules to their team, providing the host club with their team rosters by the appropriate time, and acting as the liaison between the team and the host club for questions or issues not covered by the race documents.
- Communicate with their club members regarding the event and the social events they are invited to join. Work with the host club to assist members who would like to watch the racing on the water either from their own club’s boats or getting available spaces on other boats. Organize any club members who want to participate in the cornhole toss event on Saturday afternoon or the Liar’s Dice tournament Saturday evening.
During the regatta, parking will be available for members of participating clubs coming by car to the event, and we will endeavor to arrange guest berthing for any spectator boats who would like to dock at our marina. We also hope to offer spaces aboard RYC boats to spectators who wish to watch the racing on the water.
