I'm a 71 yr old highly experienced racing and cruising sailor. I'm physically fit, I do two sets of 60 push ups every morning. I have more than 40 yrs of sailing experience and I've owned a dozen boats. I have 6000 miles of offshore experience in the Gulf, Atlantic, Caribbean and Pacific oceans. I have raced extensively on Gary Trinkline's "Toccata" and John Dickie's "Petite Helene" on Rum and challenge races on Galveston Bay. I did one Harvest Moon with Walter Harmon on the famous "Firewater". I'd like to do another one. I'm a good sail trimmer, mid deck, helmsman, and Kite handler. I'm also good at beah drinking.

I started sailing last year and in that time I've probably done a dozen races mostly in Rum and Icicle races on Sunspot Baby (Hunter 34). Most of my experience is in the cockpit trimming jib/main or at the helm but I have a little experience with spinnaker (not whisker poled). I'm 46, fit and can move around the boat with ease. I have not sailed offshore but I am adept at managing my sea sickness risk based on significant experience fishing offshore. I have ASA 101 and 103 certs.

I have a J-130 (43ft J boat) I want to race in the Harvest Moon. I would be in the PHRF Spin class. This will be about a 160 mile course. Looking for a couple of folks that are comfortable working Foredeck. Also could use two additional folks for mid deck and cockpit. Please send me an email at watersc4@comcast.net if you are interested.

First let me be honest. I have never done this and have limited expire because. However; this is something I wanted to participate in for over 10 years. I'm very hard working and learn very fast. I also have a long term goal of perusing sailing and am fairly competitive.
If you would be interested and taking me on please let me know. Available before hand to go over some refreshers at your convenience if interested.
Thank you.

Experienced offshore racer looking for a ride. 5 previous HMR including 2 second place finishes as driver and watch captain. I can work any position on the boat and enjoy learning from other like minded sailors as well as sharing what I've learned over my 30 plus years of sailing.
I am from Far Northern Wisconsin and have years of offshore experience racing, cruising, and delivering boats on the Great Lakes. I love the HMR and have been lucky to be able crew in Texas as well as bring Texans to the Great Lakes for races such as the Trans Superior and Chicago Mac. Please call me with any available positions on any class of boat. Local references upon request.

Hello,
I'm an athletic 37 y/o guy looking to help crew for this year's race. I grew up sailing on my dad's 35' Allied Seabeeze, Sunfish and Lasers and I crewed as head and spin trim on a racing Cal 40' in Puget Sound (Seattle) from 2005-2008 and helped move an Endeavor 40 from Kemah to Port Arthur last year. I currently own and sail a Catalina 27. I've sailed at sea on Icebreakers and am very comfortable on the water in all conditions. I have all the gear needed to support myself for this race.
I'm free from Wednesday evening to Sunday night.
Please call, 425-420-6979, or email vmi2uscg@yahoo.com

I have been fortunate to have raced on a variety of boats during my sailing career. These include a Catalina 22, S29.1, Cal 33, C & C 35 to mention a few. I have logged over 2500 nm offshore in the Pacific and Gulf of Mexico. In addition, assisted in the delivery of a Santa Cruz 52 (Medusa) from Marina Del Rey, Ca to Bellingham, WA (1200 nm in 16 days). Have competed in the Harvest Moon Regatta (150 nm race from Galveston, TX to Port Aransas, TX) the last 4 years placing 1st in my class and 1st in fleet out of 50 boats in 2013. Placed 2nd in class in 2014. I'm confident I'd be a great addition to your boat. I stay in good shape throughout the year and also race every weekend year around on a Tartan 10. I'd like to add my skills and experiences in a winning the Harvest Moon Regatta aboard your boat. Please contact me at 214-727-3739 and let's discuss how we can win.

Looking to crew for the HMR, I have race experience on Hobie 18 & 20 and J24 (sailed in the 18 nationals) and my off shore experience is on a Westsail 32 crossing the GoM, Florida Keys, Atlantic, east coast ICW and the Cheaspeake Bay.
I'm retired school teacher so I have lots of time, can crew your boat back. Only an average cook, but I can make a pot of coffee in 4-6 ft seas.

I have sailed the HMR several times there and back, offshore and in the Intracoastal canal, in storms and calms. I skippered my own boat from Kemah for seven years. My specialty is making food that can be held in one hand and tossed overboard when conditions dictate. I have been complimented for my wraps. I can bring your boat back too. Physically fit, mechanically inclined and a ready source of jokes to while away the long hours at sea.
